The Herald beat the Globe to the Howie Carr story by about two-and-a-half hours, according to my calculations. Jessica Heslam gets credit for the scoop.

Yeah, it took great journalistic instincts and enterprise to pick up the phone when Howie is calling. Wouldn’t it have been shocking if Howie DIDN’T give the story to the Herald? He’s on their payroll.
Isn’t this the same sort of insider dealing that you rail against when The Globe gets a story?
Huge deal though, great opportunity for Howie to swim in the deep waters of AM Drive. He’ll definitely be in my rotation. This is a great move to get tonnage to WTKK, though they may wish the audience skewed a little younger.
