Entercom Flirting With New Low
by Brian Maloney, March 6th, 2008 at 03:04pm
WRKO / WEEI owner Entercom’s shares are once again sliding, flirting with a new low. While the overall market is once again sharply off, competitor Clear Channel is currently up about 50 cents.
But Entercom is down 73 cents at the moment, now at $10.43 a share. That’s not far from its all-time low of $9.99, vs a 52-week high of $29.49 and all-time peak above $66 in 1999.

Brian,
What a great site! Thanks for hosting this. I’m a long time listener of TRadio and just found your site.
Can’t believe that MMcPhee is still on the air. Please Please stop… I can’t stand the shrillness.
Really miss the likes of JWilliams. Listened to him since back in the 60’s when he was on WBZ for 6 hours a night before Larry Glick. It was my first clock radio when I was 12 or so.
Can’t we do better than J.Severin too? His show is predictable and uninteresting. Where is David Brudnoy or Gene Burns or even Avi Nelson when we need them.
Please keep up the good work.
All the best,
aListener

if someone gave me the shares I wouldn’t take them, in fact I’d run from that person and never answer their calls again.

um, a Listener, Bruds has passed. Burns is in SF. And Avi has never had more than fill-in talent…
Just so you know, I am the best and brightest of the B&B. And the ladies love me.

Tony, what the hell are you talking about? First of all, if someone gave me stock of any kind I’d take it since I have nothing to lose. Second, if you look at Yahoo Finance you would see that the majority of investment houses’ recommendation is to hold Entercom stock and that more investors advocate buying it than selling it. You probably won’t see that information here. I wouldn’t necessarily invest in the radio sector right now, but I wouldn’t run from anyone offering me free stock.
