Another Day, Another Left-Wing Massachusetts Crook

After apparently convincing themselves that corruption in Massachusetts politics was limited to Dianne Wilkerson, local lefties are now forced to confront the arrest of another one of their own.
How do you fault Bush and the GOP for this? We know they’ll try. In fact, newly arrested Boston City Councilor Chuck Turner is already blaming a racist conspiracy by the FBI, according to The Globies.
Fair enough, Chuck: there’s a whole list of white Democrats who deserve to be the next to go, starting with Therese Murray and Mayor-For-Life Menino.
By the way, you won’t see Turner’s party affiliation anywhere in today’s news stories, so I looked it up: he’s apparently a Green Party member.

Really, can you not see the racial aspect to this?
Two high-profile, high-powered people of color are the only ones to be outed as yet. What were they, too “uppity”?! C’mon, this is a racial witch hunt, pure and simple. Where are all the white folk? You are blind if you do not see this. Boston has always been a racist city.
And it is so sad, as the children of color in Boston need role models. They need the Devals, the Baracks, the Wilkersons, the Turners, et. al. to look up to and to aspire to!
And I think when they entrapped Vinnie Piro that was also racially motivated. They were clearly targeting Italian-Americans.
I know I will be excoriated for expressing this opinion, but I gotta speak truth to power. Power to the people! We are with you, Cousin Turner and Ms. Wilkerson!

Brian,
Do you even read before you start your rants? You claim that party affiliation is not mentioned anywhere, yet in today’s online Globe article I see this.
“Turner, a member of the Green-Rainbow Party, has served in the City Council since 2000, representing District 7, which includes Roxbury, Lower Roxbury, and parts of the Fenway, South End, and Dorchester.”

It is not racist, it is pure greed and absolute
corruption. Piro and McKenna were both, again
absolute corruption. This cannot be blamed on
any Party. White, black,Dem or Repub, all will
have their hand in this maddening condition.
Everyone mentioned above has a hat in the
gimme world. There are great role models all
over the place but they don’t make the same
kind of noise that the bad guys and gals make.
Too too sad!

If Turner was a Republican the party affiliation would be in the headline in bold on the top fold of tomorrow’s Globe.

There was a lot of shouting by Turner, a lot of wails of ‘OUTRAGE!’ and ‘MISCARRIAGE OF JUSTICE’ and probably even pounding of fists on a table. Then, ’supporters’ positioned themselves behind Turner and properly got their ‘outraged’ faces on just as the TV cameras started to whir. Yawn. Seen this movie before.
