Don’t Be Suckered By This Cheap Sympathy Ploy HOWIE CARR: THE FELON IS A ‘MAGGOT’

The Finne-felon Seeks Bush Pardon

by Brian Maloney, January 9th, 2009 at 09:30am

No, I’m not
making this up, nor is it an early April Fool’s joke. WRKO’s resident morning show felon and former Democrat House Speaker Tom Finneran has actually got the nerve to petition President Bush for a pardon!

Apparently, the fact
that Tommy Tune Out was caught red-handed committing perjury is irrelevant, the Bay State’s Hack-In-Chief has enlisted the support of four ex-governators in his appeal to the outgoing president.

From The Globies:

Former House speaker Thomas M. Finneran, seeking to cleanse the stain left by his 2007 conviction for obstruction of justice, is angling for a last-minute pardon from President Bush and has lined up a group of former Massachusetts governors to back his request.

Finneran submitted an application for a presidential pardon last month, and the four governors - Democrat Michael Dukakis and Republicans William F. Weld, Paul Cellucci, and Jane Swift - followed up with a letter to the White House praising his integrity.

Finneran has already been “severely punished,” the governors wrote, citing the loss of his state pension, the suspension of his license to practice law, and his firing from a lucrative private-sector job.

“And he has suffered daily taunts and ridicule of those who believe that every elected official is the equivalent of a common thief,” the governors told the president in their letter, a copy of which was obtained by the Globe. They assured Bush that Finneran has “seen the error of this episode” and is truly sorry.

How could Team Swifty
really believe The Felon was punished? Other than ridicule in the local press, he hasn’t suffered a bit. Despite tiny ratings, he makes a fortune as WRKO’s failed morning show host. They had to shut down the entire newsroom in order to pay his bloated salary!

Did he spend time in prison? Who are we kidding here?

Though I’m not
surprised Tommy would try to pull this stunt, why were these former governors willing to help? He certainly doesn’t deserve it.

    Brian, file it under:
“You scratch my back, I’ll scratch yours.”

Besides, Tommy lives in a predominantly black neighborhood, so how can he be racist?!

If he gets the pardon, he will get his pension back, as well as his law license. That’s what this is all about. And as Brian said, he already makes a great salary at ‘RKO.
So much for being “severely punished”.
What a piece of trash he is.
Apparently, he requested the pardon weeks ago, but waited to release the news until he went on vacation to Hawaii in order to avoid the questions.
Again, what a piece of trash.

Wait three years until the next outgoing president gives Massachusetts (what’s left of it) a sweet kiss.

ChrisNH, IMHO Obama is clearly a 2 term president!

And people are already organizing to amend the constitution back to allow >2 terms, too! Check out the Kos, etc.

Even Finneran, sleazy as he is, isn’t scummy enough for a Bush Pardon.

Can’t wait to hear Howie talking about this, this afternoon…

    I only have 1 question:

Does the Felon’s pardon come with a wheelbarrow to haul his huge balls around in?

    Talk about chutzpah!

Oh-Bomba isn’t clearly a ‘two-term’ president. If we stick to our plan and save rather than spend, the economy doesn’t get better under his watch. All that ‘discretionary spending’ you are praying for so that ‘Your Guy’ (trademark) looks good right out of the chute? Ain’t gonna happen! And we’ll have a White House turned ugly with all Oh-Bomba’s cigarette smoke.

Good line from Martin Fierro at Free Republic:
    “Pardons? Finneran’s For’Em!”

“The Illinois House has voted to impeach Gov. Rod Blagojevich.”

Woo-Hoo! Ding-dong…the witch is nearly DEAD! (nice hair, though).

The only good thing I can see coming out of this travesty is the fact that the state will likely be bankrupt and have to default on the felon’s soon-to-be-reinstated pension. Some suffering.

If Bush pardons this guy I’ll be even more disappointed in him than I already am. I am hoping Bush comes to his senses and pardons the two border agents, Compean and Ramos. They actually deserve a pardon. I had never seen The Daily Kos until recently. What a bunch of vile, negative spew. I thought Dems were the party of love, light and acceptance. Ha!

I was right, management does not listen to RKO. I’m surprised they are letting da Capin’ go on about felon.

If he is pardoned, does rko have to surrender the cash the get for hiring a felon?

I have to admit that I don’t care too much either way on this one, but I think I am rooting for the pardon just so I can read the hilarious thread that is sure to be found here.

On the other hand, having met both men, I’m sure there will be a lot more people mourning when Finneran passes than when that miserable jerk Carr kicks off. Even still, he does a far more entertaining show (most of the time) than Finneran, so he’s got that going for him.

at 4:47ish a caller got the button because they didn’t have anything nice to say about rko. enough got through.

If Bush pardons Felon Finneran, he’ll have managed to piss me off more than he did on illegal alien criminal invaders.

I’ve lost what remaining respect I had for Weld and Cellucci. I never had any for Swift. For me, this story really speaks volumes about what I think is the Massachusetts Republican Party’s biggest problem. There just aren’t very many Republicans in it.

  • 19. Joeyoverthere  |  January 9th, 2009 at 7:59 pm

Bush and senses in the same thought!
It ain’t even close to a cogent thought.

  • 20. Mega Therion  |  January 9th, 2009 at 8:27 pm

Massachusetts Republicans are like most Republicans in 2009..NOT CONSERVATIVE AT ALL. How can any true conservative stay in the GOP?

  • 21. Celtic Frost  |  January 10th, 2009 at 11:44 am

RINO, Maga, RINO (Republican In Name Only)… bwa-ha-ha. It’s great to be a progressive in MA!!!
