Unnecessary Cattiness

*** UPDATE BELOW ***
When it comes to Meghan McCain’s current political agenda, I’m as baffled as the next person. Is she working to salvage her father’s reputation? Or does she really believe there’s a large pool of angry moderates ready to rise up and take over the world?
Whatever her motivation, there’s simply no need to fuel the lefty smear machine by resorting to personal attacks, which is exactly what Laura Ingraham has done. Ingraham, heard weekday mornings on WRKO, has called McCain “plus-size” and “a valley girl gone awry”.
This has the MSNBC / HuffPo / Think Progress / DailyKos smear machine doing handstands, ready to portray it as another supposed conservative vs conservative battle. From HuffPo:
Meanwhile, McCain has responded to Ingraham with a “whatevs” message on Twitter: “Laura Ingraham please stop talking about my body…” which she followed up by saying, “To all my girls out there. Don’t let anyone make you feel bad about your body! I love my curves and you should love yours too!”
Okay. Am I prepared to suggest that Meghan McCain’s Daily Beast overshares about how her father has cursed her to a life of creepy, Cindy-worshiping suitors marks her as one of America’s next top conservative thinkers? No I am not. And I am similarly disinclined to start handing her medals of valor for being willing to fight Ann Coulter, an easy-peasy target who’s been slipping down the slope into Hasbeenistan for some time now. But I totally have Meghan’s back on this pointless spite that Laura Ingraham is attempting to serve her. So, NUANCE: I am meeting you halfway, I guess!
Speaking of beasts, does Laura Ingraham really need to feed this one?
UPDATE: Hot Air has more here, they aren’t happy with Ingraham either.

She is a moose. She’ll definitely be impregnated by somebody from one of the “torrid zone” races. Her lunatic,POW betraying father deserves such an awful beldame for a daughter.

The Republicans have a chance in 2010 & 2012 … don’t screw it up …

She voted for Kerry. She’s a self described liberal…wake up the GOP is dead. With this fatso and that bald bozo Steele, the party is weaker than ever.

McCain is a dope who thinks her crazy opinions matter. Problem is, she McCain’s daughter, so she’ll get press. So, regarding Laura Ingraham, if Meghan decides to jump into the arena a fling nutty crap around, she’d better be ready to take some flak! Ingraham bitch-slapped her. Everyone else is afraid. Thanks Laura!

Meghan who? Who gave size 20 a column? Daily what?

For once I don’t mind Ingraham being what her voice makes her sound like every morning.

I watched Meghan being interviewed by Rachel Maddow. No, Brian, she’s not trying to salvage her father’s career. What she appears to be doing, is trying to appeal to younger people who are on the conservative side, but because of the damage to the party over the past 8 years as well as the over abundance of right-wing nuts, they are not interested in the GOP.
Now, personally the GOP is not my cup of tea. But what is, is the involvement of young people. I admire Meghan McCain for getting active. For targeting the younger generation. THEY ARE THE FUTURE, not blowhards like Limbo. And Laura Ingrham is a dope for bringing this young woman’s body/weight into the discussion, rather than commend her for taking a positive step for her party.

they not only are the future the future is here.
Take a back seat oldies. Time to do what you can to fortify this country boomers. How about faith?
Remember that stuff you neglected to pass on to your kids? Well they are going to need it taking on this mess they have been left. The greatest generation had it and now you left your kids without it!
Why? you were too lazy to get your fat you know what out of bed. Hey, It’s Never too late. Get GOING!

Publically making an issue of Megan’s size while the country is being ransacked is real dumb. If Megan’s father had the sense to realize that he was not up to running this past year instead of feeding his ego, things may be different. When I saw him speak on the Senate floor the other day, he sounded so tired and uninspired. The Dems love to have the right arguing over someone’s bust size while the Dems lay the foundation that will result in the Dems never losing a national election.

All this insulting and demeaning crap coming
from an anorexic who is in need of a nasal
transplant! Shame Laura. Class tells.

As George Carlin once said: “BULLETIN…BULLETIN…BULLETIN”; first WJET in Erie, PA, now WXEX in Exeter, NH has dropped Rush! How long will he continue to spread the lie “heard on 600 radio stations!”?
13. Jay Severin's longtime companion | March 15th, 2009 at 1:19 pm
I bet Meghan and Maddow really “hit it off”. Hint hint, nod, wink. She likes fish rather than meat…
14. piratetoby | March 15th, 2009 at 2:44 pm
Jay’s LC,
Seeing as you’ve brought the topic up regarding women w/the “fish rather than meat” comment, I’m sure you mind if I inquire….assuming as Jay’s longtime companion you both prefer meat, my question is, who’s the giver and who’s the receiver of said meat?
15. Cap'n Spackle | March 15th, 2009 at 3:31 pm
“Paul Harvey Oswald”, I thought you left and promised not to come back. Changing your handle doesn’t count.
16. Sorenson | March 15th, 2009 at 5:35 pm
Hey Jay Sevs. long. comp.

Oh, and while we are on cattiness, Deval really has packed on the lbs.
He is way more doughy than he formerly was.
C’mon, Deval, mix in a salad (and a workout) once in a while. Speaking as a fellow short (and stout) man, any extra weight is magnified on us, Deval.

21. piratetoby | March 17th, 2009 at 4:54 pm
A Dot,
Took the liberty of grading your responses to CS’s questions. I think you may have rushed thru the quiz…..your answer to question 2 is “yes”, however it’s not a yes/no question. We KNOW the team. The question is, what position does he play?
I’ll allow you to resubmit an answer, as Ms. Jay is in the headlines today, and inquiring minds want to know!
22. Bluecat4usa | March 18th, 2009 at 3:48 pm
I think she’s hot. Who wants to be with a size zero?
23. bob | March 18th, 2009 at 7:39 pm
Well, I just heard the actual clip in full context of Laura’s “bashing” of Meghan McCain. It’s nothing more than a lefty distortion. She never called Meghan fat, period. But isn’t it amazing that the left can call Sarah Palin trailer trash, or Rush Limabaugh a big fat liar, or our troops baby killers…and there’s not one peep of outrage from these same whiners who think they heard Laura Ingraham call Meghan McCain fat?
Congrats, Lefties. You pulled this one off! But actual truth of Laura’s words speaks volumes about what pathetic losers you are
24. Bullwinkle J. Moose | March 19th, 2009 at 2:28 am
Bob have you ever heard Thom Hartmann, Ed Schultz, Stephanie Miller, Rachel Madow or Keith Olbermann ? That’s a diet of truth fact and honesty. BTW ~ I stream thousands of hours of audio a year(s) of the “left” … I have *never* heard anything even remotely like “our troops baby killers” Quite the contrary ~ Cheers!
25. ActuaryDot | March 19th, 2009 at 3:57 pm
Pirate
I believe the term is Bi which carries the yes
answer to the ques.
26. susan mcbride | March 19th, 2009 at 3:57 pm
all you guys would be thanking your lucky stars to be with Meaghan…….
funny, the ones who say she is too fat, are the ones who never get laid………LOL.
27. ActuaryDot | March 19th, 2009 at 4:17 pm
Susan, order yours straight up cuz your
rationale for the “too fat” bruhaha is right
on.
28. piratetoby | March 20th, 2009 at 1:02 pm
just a few quick comments…..
Bob, I, too, have never heard “our troops baby killers” except in comment sections by posters like you.
ADot, Thanks for the “bi” clarification. Forgot he plays for 2 teams, and his position is dictated by which team he’s playing on.
29. bob | March 23rd, 2009 at 5:20 pm
Hmm..perhaps my paraphrasing John Kerry and Jack Murtha’s past anti-American comments have me somewhat confused.
