April 17, 2009QUINCY, Mass. (AP) — Police say a Quincy woman killed her 9-year-old daughter and an unborn child in an apparent case of domestic violence.
The 38-year-old suspect is being treated for self-inflicted stab wounds at Boston Medical Center and is expected to be arraigned Friday on two counts of murder. She was 7.5 months pregnant.
Sgt. Dennis Maloney says police responded to 20 Woodbine Street in Quincy at about 10:30 on Thursday night.
Yes, even the AP recognizes the woman’s “unborn child”, while the Globies changed their version to “fetus”. At 7.5 months, isn’t it quite clear we’re talking about an almost fully-developed unborn child?

Brian,
The definition of a fetus is the young offspring of an animal, in the later stage of development, still in the womb. In the case of a woman, it is considered a fetus after the end of the second month of gestation.
Regardless of one’s opinion, the fact is, fetus is the correct word
