Has WGBH Just Derailed Entercom’s Plan A? Why Scott Brown Can Win The Election (!!!)

No Heavy Lifting Required Today

by Brian Maloney, September 23rd, 2009 at 03:46pm

… At least if
you’re a talk show host, the news cycle is driving the broadcast.

Questions:

— Given Senator Robert Byrd’s (D-WV)
rapidly-declining health, what is the mad rush to make the Senate appointment here in Massachusetts? Dems would still be short of the 60 votes needed for complete control of the chamber. Byrd isn’t voting and could be down to his final days.

— How does a
US Senate vacancy represent an “emergency”? Because Beacon Hill corruptocrats didn’t get the necessary two-thirds approval, Governor Deval Patrick must now request emergency permission from the secretary of state to make the appointment immediate. This is a stretch to say the least.

— Why are we allowing
Vicki Kennedy to name his replacement? Are we living in a banana republic?

— Even worse, a non-resident
of the Bay State, Ocean State Basket Case Patches Kennedy, is also pushing the underwhelming option of naming Paul Kirk to the seat.

Is there a clinic that treats people for moonbat liberalism?

To answer your question, Brian: yes, we are living in a banana republic.
(Just watch someone claim that’s a racist statement because our governor is black)

Are we living in a banana republic, you ask?

You mean one of those places where the laws are routinely changed to help those in power keep their power?

Where the governor of a supposedly sovereign state asks “how high?” when the president of the United States tells him to jump?

Where people whose value is solely dependent on their last name tell elected officials what pawn they want placed in what square?

Where horrifyingly unconstitutional bills like Senate Bill 2028 can sail through both chambers of the legislature without a peep from the vast majority of the media?

Massachusetts is no longer the People’s Republic of Taxachusetts…it is now the People’s Banana Republic of Taxachusetts. If there are no changes after November 2010, you should seriously consider moving away. As a lifelong resident, I had never thought that way but enough is enough.

That POS Finneran was on the radio this morning spewing his BS crap. The scary thing is he talked like he actually believed himself.

Actually Brian we live in the Soviet Republic of Massachusetts and we must bend when the Politbureau tells us to bend!

Remember the slogan, “Massachusetts is Kennedy Country.” Why then did Teddy Jr escape to CT and Patrick stagger into RI? Now Mass citizens have to oblige their demands … The Mass legislature and Deval have bent over and grabbed their ankles, now the Kennedys will drive their agenda home.

Really low rent, Brian, using the photo of Kennedy with the announcement he’s seeking treatment. No mistake, right? Couldn’t find another pic?

Incapable of showing any feelings of compassion for someone with a substance abuse problem?

You know what’s really low rent? Running the government as though we’re living in some sort of banana republic. Are Cadillac and Jughead going to start wearing phony military medals and epaulets on their jackets?

We the people of Massachusetts are not voters…we are subjects!

btw I can’t find a Herald article about it yet but the Globe is saying Howie’s car crashed into a pole yesterday in Wellesley. He refused medical treatment (said to be “okay”) but got a marked lanes violation after his 04 Acura “suddenly crossed into the oncoming lane, hit a curb, and slammed into a telephone pole.” No signs of booze but distraction or high winds may have been a factor
