Funny Faux-to Business In New D & C Ad?

UPDATE: Scott now has an image of the ad up on his website.

Have two-thirds of the Dennis & Callahan morning show team received the rubout treatment in an Entercom/ WEEI ad running in today's Herald? Thanks to an alert reader who sent this note:

Check out the WEEI ad on page 18 of today's Herald. Looks like someone's playing games (look at the faces).

It's an ad they'd run before, showing Dennis, Callahan, and Meterparel at Fenway, looks like it's been doctored to have Dennis' face on all three guys.

Very strange, and no other indication in the ad (that I could see) for why. I didn't notice it at first, I was just thinking it's odd (or a sign of good faith?) that WEEI was promoting them. That's when I looked closer. Someone went to some Photoshop trouble to do this, and to even more trouble to send the 'new' (doctored) display ad to the Herald.

After taking a look at the print version of today's Herald, I must agree with the reader's assessment. What explains this strange Faux-toshop? Has the ad ever appeared this way in the past?

I have noticed that ad with Dennis' face for some time. I would say at least a month. Not sure why, but then, "strange" is the norm in that place.

I have to say. I didn't think I would, but I actually have been enjoying Dan Patrick. If they stick him with a decent co-host, it may actually be a decent show.

of course it doesnt really matter to me once Howie jumps to the a.m.
