Expose The Hypocrisy

We're Surrounded By Morons!

Desperate shock jocks Opie & Anthony are at it again, this time spreading false rumors about Tom Brady and steroid use. Heard here on WBCN-FM (which also airs Patriots games), O & A obviously have the team in an uproar.

What's sad is how sympathy has been generated for a guy who otherwise doesn't deserve it. He's one amazing player, but his personal life is borderline disgusting.

In fact, he's perfect for Gisele Bundchen, the dim and shallow supermodel who has recently made headlines for refusing to be paid in US currency, despite maintaining a residence here and working for an American employer (Procter & Gamble).

What did we do to deserve these morons?

Uhm...what makes Tom Brady's personal life "disgusting"?

Because he left Bridget when she was pregnant? You, nor I, have any idea what was going on in their relationship...yet you judge that he should have hung around in spite of his unhappiness?

And because a foriegn born model requests to be paid in foriegn currency (have you seen the Dollar's value lately) that makes her shallow?

At least they live up to their contracts. Which is more than we can say about a certain hero around here.

Brady wears a Yankees cap. Probably has pinstripe pajamas.

I think you are off base on this one. First off, anyone that has ever listened to Opie and Anthony should know that anything originating from that show that is considered "news" should be treated with a high level of skepticism. Second, until Tom Brady puts a ring on his finger, more power to him. I can only dream of having those sort of opportunities when I was single. Finally, as for being paid in some other currency. Can you blame her? The US dollar is getting killed lately. If I was in a position to travel the globe and I had the option of being paid in something other than US dollars, I'd take it. When you are making millions of dollars, a percentage point drop in value makes a big difference.

If you live and work in America and have an American employer, you should accept and use our currency.

There are better ways to hedge investment risk anyway.

brian
you my friend are a tool bag.

tom brady is GOD.

So, why exactly do you have to be paid in American currency if you work in America? Oh please God, let this answer be a jingoist diatribe! Also, in order to make the argument that Giselle is dim and/or shallow, you need to actually provide facts, not simply make the statement. I'm waiting for your cites and notes from her autobiography.

A couple of you are confusing his personal life with on-field performance. They are separate.

Posted by: Brian Maloney at November 7, 2007 12:53 PM

Gisele is hardly dim and shallow, she's the highest paid model on earth and from what I hear she's a pretty savvy business woman. I don't have a problem with her getting paid in something other than american currency, the buck isn't exactly a big winner these days. I don't know of any law that states if you work here you must get paid in american currency. I'm sure if I requested it, my employer could pay me in Canadian dollars if I wanted. As for Brady, from what I've read he was totally surprised by Ms. Moynihan's pregnancy, interesting that she didn't get pregnant the whole three years they were together but for some reason, (maybe she got wind that Tom wasn't happy), at the end of the relationship all of a sudden she turns up pregnant. Even if Brady himself was wearing protection, there's a little trick with a common pin that can make things ugly, but I digress.

Yeah, Legislating morality.

Brian,

You sir are confusing tabloid reporting with solid fact.

I don't care what the man does on a football field with regards to this discussion.

I'm still waiting to hear from you (other than he might be a yankee fan) what makes him "borderline disgusting".

I am so jealous of Tom Brady. He is what I pretend to be: a ladies man. Yes, I may be north of 65 and my wife needs to cut my food for me, but a man can dream, can't he? Check out my new pics on wtkk.com and see if you can guess if I've had any work done or not. Bet you can't!

Looks like you hit a nerve with this one, Brian. We've established that your audience is fine when you slander Entercom, Kahn and Wolfe with baseless accusations and no facts, but heaven help you for taking a shot at God, er, I mean Tom, Brady. He's on the Mt. Rushmore of NE sports fer cryin out loud! Know your place man, is what they are telling you.

For the record, I love watching the guy do his thing on Sundays, but as long as he stays off the police blotter I couldn't care less what he does during the week.

Frankly, I don't care. This site is not about me. I don't expect everyone to agree with me all of the time. I take this same approach regardless of the medium.

You don't suck up to me, I don't suck up to you. In the end, we're all happy.

Whatever "news" O&A fabricated had to be more amusing than Todd's show yesterday, where I tuned in to a bunch of middle-aged dudes getting all googly-eyed over Tom Brady (even so far as to fantasize about a presidential run, and what his platform would be -- huh?)*.

Sounded like a bunch of 12-year olds, circa 1968, cutting pictures of Davy Jones out of Tiger Beat, wondering if he's a good kisser, etc., etc., etc.

Howie needs to come back if only to put a stop to this, because his name's still all over this.

(* = Hey, if you want to talk sports, fine. This was pure fawning, bordering on creepy. Oh, and the segment would. not. end.)

1. Dopey and Ain't funny suck. I mean they are really really lame. They spent years copycatting the crap from Howard Stern's show.

2. Brady wears the Yankees hat because he played in the Yankee farm system. He wasn't just a football player in his younger days.

"In fact, he's perfect for Gisele Bundchen, the dim and shallow supermodel who has recently made headlines for refusing to be paid in US currency, despite maintaining a residence here and working for an American employer (Procter & Gamble)."

Brian, I find your outrage over this issue to be hysterically funny and hypocritical, considering that the Israeli government made the exact same DEMAND of the United States, in regard to receiving American financial aid.

Ding dong, you're wrong! Brady did delve into baseball, but as a catcher for the Montreal Expos (now Washington Nationals). Then again, I got this from Wikipedia, so take this for what it is (or isn't) worth.

That Gisele story is bogus. Check out

Typical for this site, another hard question gets ignored.

Brian-

You feel totally fine slandering the man's name. But when asked WHY you have such opinion, the best you can come up with is the fact he wears a Yankee hat from time to time?

You and Joy are priceless.
