Bill O'Reilly knows he screwed up over the Michelle Obama "lynching" comment and has apologized. But his liberal detractors have gone overboard in their denunciations of the radio and cable talker. One called it "murder".
I hate when we get caught up in this stupidity. O'Reilly made a poor choice of words, but nobody in their right mind should take him literally or be offended. His apology was kind of backhanded, but if we weren't such a nation of dopes he wouldn't have had to apologize in the first place.
Just as a few weeks ago when Maher made his Rush comment, or when Finneran made his comment about taking Howie for a ride in the caddy, or when the Golf Channel reporter got suspended for using "lynch" and Tiger in the same sentence...find it funny or don't, but for God's sake, don't take it literally or seriously.
Stay focused people...
Hi Brian,
Sorry to go off topic even as no one has yet replied to this thread, but this is hot. Moe Lauzier has just signed off and at the very end of his program said it was his last. I had listened most of the morning and never saw this coming. Do you know any thing about it? In my opinion, this is even a worse farewell than when Scotto left. Moe had been there for 25 years and his loyalty to the station seemed unquestionable. He did not give details.
This is simply Keith Olbermann's discussion topic of the week attacking Bill O'Reilly.
