No, wouldn't buy a used car from him or consider his recomendation for a mortgage.
He does have some credibility when it comes to spackle. Maybe they should have him do the evercleanze ads.
This fraud can't even hold down a job for Christs sake. I wouldn't trust him to put the seat up to pee.
All radio hosts play this game, and we take their 'endorsements' with a chuckle and a laugh. They implore the delights and benefits of products once they've been given a year's supply for free. It's an obvious ploy, transparent as ever.
Do you want me to talk about you on the air so more than 25 people will visit your blogsite? What's the Hip-Hop stuff about anyway. I'm not ashamed of my past radio experience. Hip-Hop is a credible industry. Remember, I'm a radio listener who got his own show. You are a so-called "pro" in this medium and you don't have a job in it. Are you bitter? I hated it when I wasn't working but what you're doing is just spiteful. I wish you were like this on the air. Maybe you'd have my job. Good luck to you.
Oh, and thanks for listening,
Hey Brian, give they guy a chance. His show is the only truly entertaining part of RKO these days.
He is not really informative, but the guy does a good job.
And let's face it, RKO is an amature station with a big signal.
Would you all be dissing Reese if he were lily-white like that retard Todd Fienberg? Nope.
Another example of da man trynig to keep a brother down. And a good brother like Reese will wlays rise to the top, like chocolate cream!
So hate on, playa-haters. Reese is laughing and cashing those checks and bringing his younique brand of talent to Boston.
All radio hosts play this game,
and we take their 'endorsements'
with a chuckle and a laugh.
I always enjoyed hearing Pete Sheppard talk about how his dog's stools were much firmer when using some sponsor's product.
...
I wish you were like this on the air. Maybe you'd have my job. Good luck to you.

Ever think you're jus a tool for the 'com(n)?
The only reason you have this slot is your from out of town, uninformed and neutral. I'm sure your bosses are steering clear from anything confrontational.
It's easy to be a crossover dolt, act silly, think your being cool and then put someone else down for callin' you out for who and what you are.
If you were a *real* producer, the record lamp in your own studio will be lit and you wouldn't need this gig. Best of luck to you and your hip-hop community.
And I'm sure the author of this site appreciates your reading.
Sorry I don't listen to pig sludge bucket radio.
So dunno.
But I will tell you if you are not tuning into Michael Grahams scathing relentless arterial blood letting attack on Obamas racist preacher whom Obama has supported for the last twenty years YOU ARE MISSING A SHOW PEOPLE!!! tkk. sizzling like hot bacon!
You go Graham. Amazing the guy actually gives a sweet f**k!
How refreshing.
Entercom? They just flat out kahnt do it.
Sorenson is correct..WHY is anybody listening to Kahn/Wolfe's experiment. Other than Rush(rare occasion that he's on),that station is insufferable during daylight. And even Howie seems tepid on the Wright issue..THAT USED TO BE IN HIS WHEELHOUSE!
Entercom sucks
Whoever is making the promo spots for Reese's show (I'll assume it is his producer) needs to rethink their message. The promos are so annoying that actually make me NOT want to listen.
The promo referring to the new Governor of NY that ends with the line, "... Negroes are magically delicious." is just plain stupid. Likewise, the promo with Reese singing about Barack Obama to the tune of Michael Jackson's "Thriller" is beyond aggravating.
Reese seems like he might be a nice enough guy but I keep getting the feeling that he is being forced down our throats by the Empress and the Coffee Boy. I can't stand his faux indignation about issues in a town that he has barely lived in for a couple of months. I don't care what his opinion is about Deval Patrick, Mumbles Menino, drug-addled firefighters, unplowed roads or Presidential politics. As much as I detest the term "finding your own voice", I think that is exactly what he needs to do. He needs to talk about things that he cares about and stop pretending to be in tune with the city of Boston. That will develop over time as listeners become comfortable with him and his views. I might even give him a listen if he decides to be genuine. At least then I would know what he really thinks about issues rather than what he thinks we want to hear.
Reese, if you are reading this, in reference to your comments in this thread (assuming that it is really you) you are not the only person who has a talk show who reads and comments on this site. Without going into too much detail (because I am in negotiations), I have competed against your station in the past and have NEVER failed to whip it's ass in the ratings. I have never finished below WRKO in any ratings period. Ever. You work for a small town radio station that is accidentally located in a big city. I don't need to tell you that though. You know that just by looking around the office.
I think Resse could sell me a gym membership if he threw in the first 6-months for 9.99 and waived the activation fees. He'd be really good at that from what I've heard, and I am highly suggestionable.
The most I've heard from him is his clips they play on Howie's show. I'd like to give him a chance but his schtick is just so off putting. Plus, once I started to like him I know that wrko will fire him.
Can't wait for that discrimination (he's gay right?) lawsuit against J&J. Maybe there's a silver lining after all...
the best part of Reese's show is Cooksey. I'm pretty sick of republicans that are all for removal of rights. . . the republican party was founded to CONSERVE to constitutional rights. Yet Reese thinks teachers could go around whacking kids when they act up. How about no one, NO ONE touches my kid without my permission. Republicans talk about freedom, but they have no clue what it is, since they've stipped it from ourselves for 8 years. Reese is a sounding board for this as many others are (including Howie). A sad pathetic existence.
AND Mr. Reese. . . there hasn't been any good rap/hip hop in years. The lyrics suck, the beats suck. Hip Hop is going through it's midlife crisis. Kids that wore the baggy pants are now wearing Lynyrd Skynyrd shirts with them. Real Good Music Will Last Forever. . . Elvis, Grandmaster Flash, Jimmy Buffet, GNR, The Dead, Hendrix, Dr. Dre, all will live in history. This crap they put out now is just tossaway junk. Brian was still way better than you were. Except for the 'no balogna' line. His place is here creating this site so I can bitch about how stupid WRKO is now. Your race has nothing to do with it
Sorry, Chaniqua, it doesn't always boil down to race. The guy is just not good, whether white, black, yellow or pink. Has nothing to do with the color of his skin. Grow up.
I agree with the Michael Graham statements! You must listen...Ok...this Reese guy...I don't listen to WRKO anymore but can someone explain why he is so hated or crap? I'm too busy listening to Graham to know. I DID listen on the internet to that two hours he had with Peter Paul (the guy who talked about the laws Hillary Clinton broke) and that was pretty good radio...BUT, I gather from the post-ers here that it was an out-of-character (as far as being good) show. I just can't say anything because I don't know.
Was that the real Reese that posted? Pretty cool if it was. I hope he doesn't get too comfy at WRKO thou'...they are feeding hosts to the lions these days...all except the no-talent hack THE FELON...he should be the first in the beasts mouth! Anyway, he should tread carefully...Boston is totally devoid of great, intelligent radio. I'd listen to it if it were there, but it's just NOT!
Reese is going to stand or fall on his ratings. Just like everyone else. 'RKO can push him all they want, but in the end it's the listeners & advertisers decision.
I can only listen when I take a day off from work, but what I have heard is insincere fluff. Let's see what the next ratings book says. Maybe he can be replaced with infomercials like Moe?
Reese is 100 times better than the Felon(though that may not be as much of a defense as I mean it to be because the Felon).
He's entertaining! ...and isn't that what the host is supposed to be?.
One of the things I like about him is that he's willing to talk smack - I mean comment - on anyone in the world of politics, including Obama and Cadillac Deval, because he's not afraid of being called a racist (since he's black :)
I'll agree that his producer may want to tone downsome of the promos. I liked the one where he rapped about Obama (he even got Huckabee in there, it was classic).
Rock on Reese! You're the last decent -Live- guy on the station, make us proud!
Assuming that was Reese, I appreciate his willingness to comment here and the fact that he is aware enough and cares enough about his job and Boston radio to do so. I think it is him.
Reese, you have the potential to make it here if you cut down on the "Negro" jokes (That's Opey and Anthony territory) and as people on this site have said lay off on the semi faux local stuff. At least until you have been here awhile in residence. Having said that I appreciate that at least someone in this town tries to be local.
I sense some insecurity being compensated for by clownery and gimmicks. I understand how a host at this station and contemporary industry can feel nervous but dig deep down and develop yourself. I'm not currently your biggest fan but I want to see you succeed.
Another piece of advice is to thicken your skin. If you go after a critic like BM in a personal way, it only hurts you. Constructive response and even criticism of your own is the way to go. BM has established the credibility with the public in Boston that you need to establish. You are on your way.
Please keep posting though. This is one major way that you can gain the credibility you need to rise above the loathsome putzes for whom you work.
Reese, you could be one of the great ones if you keep your head on straight. The people who participate on this site know a lot and you should listen to them.
Was it the real Reese who posted here?
Why is there not anything positive on this
this blog?
Phil, I'd like to think hosts stand or fall based on ratings, but it is rarely so. Example: The Felon and his crappy numbers, yet he remains on the air.
Reese determined his own fate before he even arrived in Boston. There's a refusal to learn from past mistakes that is going to haunt him again and again.
Brian....care to comment on this was the Reese post sent in from entercom's ISP address?
A Top Ten Major Market Station shouldn't be a place where people "learn" how to do Talk Radio. That's WRKO's problem in a nutshell.
Hey "Chaniqua":
Try English next time.
Oh and reese.
Newsfash:
Nobody cares.
Post your sanctimonious bulls**t elsewhere.
Forget about it. Brian is like 10 up on you toad.
You just don't get it.
