Jerry Williams Event Coming Up Tuesday

This sounds like a lot of fun:

Hear Elman speak

A free public event marking the 50th anniversary of talk radio in New England and the release of “Burning Up the Air: Jerry Williams, Talk Radio and Life in Between” will be held at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 29, in the dance theater at Boston University’s Fitness and Recreation Center, 915 Commonwealth Ave., Boston, MA 02215. Parking is available, and free tickets can be redeemed by contacting Barnes & Noble at 617-267-8484. More information on “Burning Up the Air: Jerry Williams, Talk Radio and Life in Between” can be found online at www.jerrywilliams.org.

It's my understanding that Howie Carr will be one of the event's speakers. The book can still be ordered through Amazon here.

Having Howie speak at an event honoring Jerry is a joke. I guess everyone sells out to make a buck or two. It's amaazing that book sales comes before loyalty and the truth!

Tell Howie congratulations - The Herald site won't have me to kick around any more.

Silenced! Martyrdom is mine.

The Tai-rade will be back.

Hey John...
Why such a cynic? Why the smartass comment about Howie Carr? Contrary to what you may believe, Howie has a heart of gold. He's aware of the times he's burned Jerry, whether knowingly or by accident. Remember, Howie Carr is a newspaperman first, and a radio guy last. But Howie's always had a deep respect for Jerry Williams.

I think you're one of those moonbats Howie frequently describes. God bless the memory of Jerry Williams.Howie's showing his respect. What are YOU doing, except whining?
