Randi Goldklank Gets Help

Isn't it amazing what it sometimes takes for an addict to finally get help?

There's no doubt it isn't too late for WHDH-7 GM Randi Goldklank to turn her life around. In the meantime, she's gone from obscure corporate suit to household word in a flash.

While I wish her the best, I don't think Goldklank should be off the hook for her public behavior just because she's in rehab. Let's hope she's held accountable for her actions.

Hey, b & b, it's me your man about town Jimmy Severino III.

I will volunteer to help out Randi. I will give her intense therapy, the kind she seemed to be craving with her solicitation of the sergeant who booked her.

Yee-haw! We single men love a desperate, depressed, 40-something woman, esp. those who like a stiff drink or two or three.

Accountability begins with resignation, followed by transfer to market #100 (after rehab).

The favorite play-toy in TV newsrooms is the discrimination lawsuit (or threat of one). I would wager the most nuanced HR folks around are the ones working for TV stations. That said, WHDH will keep her because she'd turn around and sue them otherwise. Yes, I know 'just cause' and all that stuff, but TV news folks pretty much have no other recourse than to fight for the job they have (or just had).

'Preciate all your calls and emails. Gulp.

You never know what we'll talk about on my show. Girls, power, and the like. Gulp.

Swallow. I may even call some folks names, but I still 'preciate their listen' and stuff. Breathe.

Kennedy Strategy:

Rehab, followed by I'm very very very sorry, this is a disease I have to life with every day followed, by a slap on the wrist.

Oh if only I were beautiful...

Don't media contracts include decency clauses anymore? Out on the sidewalk is where this drunk ought to be.
