Expose The Hypocrisy

The Real Issue

Already, the inevitable speculation over The Felon's fate has begun in the face of devastatingly bad ratings. The numbers are so stunningly pathetic that it really does seem hard to believe Tom Finneran could survive at WRKO.

Unless you're new to this site, however, it should be clear that Entercom management will not fire His Crookedness. That would mean CEO David Field admitting to a mistake, something that isn't likely in our lifetime.

Actually, focusing on Finneran's future is a mistake, as there is a much larger issue facing WRKO: a staff that has come to resent arrogant company management so much that it is cheering the station's ratings nosedive.

When there's no support from within, you know an operation's days are numbered.

Just as a station can't force people to listen to bad programming, crappy managers can't compel employees to like them. When WRKO completes its high-profile collapse, that's the lesson all of us must learn and appreciate.

oh god! "guy from boston" is getting his own show on wtkk saturdays.

did anyone hear him briefly on saturdays with rep. hedglund on wrko? hideous.

i know he's popular but seriously, i'd rather listen to finneran.

just my two cents in.

Finneran's show is so dull, how they can keep him on is beyond me. It is just pride.

WTTK is an absolute wasteland of imbecility on weekends.Jimmy Sadiki "Keeper of the Gate" Myers,Eddie Andleman and his vile, gluttonous "where's the free food" offspring and now this bloated greaseball. A retard repository.

At least WTKK is picking up some Mark Levin
(a best of Sat 9-11 pm), acc. to Boston Radio Watch.

Thanks to Jason Wolfe's arrogance and stubbornness...and an ego much larger than his stunted frame, HE solely bears the responsibility for killing WRKO. No direction, no innovation, no leadership, no concern about the issues....all he cares about is sports and being a vice president of a creepy, greedy company. He epitomizes all that's wrong with Entercom, and why all the energy and drive has seeped out of WRKO.

Contrast the failure of RKO to even a weak programming effort on the part of WTKK.
FM Talk wins...Jason loses.

It's a sad day for all the once-loyal listeners AND ADVERTISERS of WRKO. Congratulations to FM Talk...just for hangin' in there! I hope they don't make the same mistakes as RKO. All they have to do is listen to their listeners and let them be the guide! What a concept!

I'm very proud to be a non-listener to both Entercomm stations in Boston. As ratings plummet, I take a lot of pride knowing that I helped.

Oh, goodie gumdrops, that snarky Jimmy Severino will be no doubt be partying hearty at the RamRod, baybee! Cosmos all around!

My husband and I will be there to partake, natch.

Howie is such a queer-baiter that I am happy that his ratings are in the crapper.

REMAIN CALM, ALL IS WELL!!! RKO management has this all planned. I read the story about clap-rude. She'll save tommy's show and the station. It'll once again return to its glory days of the past. Crossover clown's ratings will go through the roof with a lead in like that.

(Thank GOD for XM in the AM.)

Before you know it, they'll be bidding wars for air time, dividends will skyrocket, and both j and j will seal their spots in the radio hall of fame for programming and running a station that's setting legendary ratings numbers. The RKO model will be an example that every other station will study and copy. The world will be changed.

Dear RKO Management:
Sign clap-rude as tommy's co-host right now, pay ANY price that you need to. A talent like hers is rare and should make tommy's contract seem like pocket change.

DO NOT LOOSE THIS TALENT! Boston, -er the world, needs you to do this. You'll more than make up for it in ad revenue in less than a New York minute once word gets out that she'll be on the air with tommy.

Just think, tommy, clap-rude, and wendy all on the same station, at the same time. Does it get any better than that?

Posted by: bjd at May 1, 2008 11:27 AM

bjd - It would get even better if RKO teamed up, the felon, clap-rude, wendy, ellen and maryellen, wow, what a notion, all those hormones screeching over each other, yeah, that's the dream team, it'll hike ratings like there's no tomorrow, advertisers will be lining up for miles to get their ad aired on that program, the money will be pouring in, yeah, that's the ticket!

How many children does your 'hero' Howie Carr have? He use to say he had five daughters but now he only says he has three daughters!!! Did he loose two?? Why didn't him or Rushhh sereve in the Military???

Posted by: bigblue at May 1, 2008 02:13 PM

I guess he put his first marriage behind him (on air). He does have 3 daughters via Cathy "Submit"
and two older ones from his first marriage.

Posted by: raccoonradio at May 1, 2008 03:53 PM

bigblue are you accusing Rush or Howie of being felons or lying on their resumes?

Your on the wrong website why don't you go to WRKOdoesntneedsaving.com;)

The fate of the felon has been pretty damn sweet (OK, he may lose the pension for good).

Overall, it's a felon's paradise over at WRKO.

"He use to say he had

two??"

Yeah, in the exploding basketball incident.

How does one "sereve" in the military? Perhaps "him" or "Rushhh" missed the draft or a million of other reasons why someone didn't "sereve". Did you "use" to "sereve" by the way? Thought so. Now go braid your pony tail, or did you "loose" it?
