Howie is a big fat pantload who don't go anywhere without getting paid. When I was a kid in Charlestown, we used to beat the crap out of Somerville guys. Howie, although he only lived in Slummerville briefly, is a wimp like the rest of them. And Howie is one to joke about someone's weight. I go 3 bills, but I am in decent shape. I think Howie would have been at the courtroom even if he was completely retired from both radio and print. I think he looks at "mob" characters as a personal hobby, despite his book. He really has an encyclopedic knowledge of that stuff.
