As soon as WTKK put Mike "The Plagiarist" Barnicle on the air, I was for once willing to put the former turnpike hack-turned radio host on on WRKO, but then she starts talking about 12 year-olds playing baseball. Barnicle leaves the air on WTKK....back to the fatman and his cohost (and kudos to the woman who called in and complained of Barnicle's kiss-ass performance earlier in the show). How can a radio station that airs Mike Barnicle have any credibility?
This ass-kissing is too much to take. Why doesn't someone point out that even if this scumbag dropped dead today, he still would have had 39 years more than he allowed Mary Jo Kopechne. (And how many Americans have been killed because of his illegal alien criminal invader friends?) I wasn't even alive when Ted Kennedy killed Kopechne, and yet I'm willing to point it out-where are the talk hosts?

I'm not encouraged to tell people I respect about this site only to have them check it out and enter this type of talk. But you can ignore it if you wish. What some of your savewrko fans are trying to tell you is that it's getting worse. If it's your detractors, then simply say so. Someone poeple are clearly getting their kicks by baiting your contributors.
To be honest it's hard to tell sometimes and you really ought to clarify who these people are.
I like the satire and humor and perhaps the outright skewering of people but the other stuff, racism, gay-bashing etc. is really enough already...or not, up to you.

Policing comments is a headache and I don't have the time or energy, except in the most extreme cases.
I have focused on the impersonation issue recently, at the request of several people, so some obvious fakers have had comments not posted.
Matt and Aaron Margolis also oversee this site (as well as their Hub Politics sites) and have the ability to remove comments should they so desire, but if they've done so, they haven't told me.
One of the things I like about this site is Brain pretty much lets everyone speak thier piece.I could do without the slurs and racits statements. I have had a few posts taken off but Brian has a pretty thick skin and lets my negative comments stand.
However, Celtic Frost aka, Hugh Jass act is getting pretty tiresome. I think they are trying to parody conservative nuts but it's time to reinvente your characters and develop some more intelligent material.
On the Ted Kennedy story, I found the wall to wall coverage pretty morbid. The Globe got it right, he had a seizure. he wasn't on his death bed. The Cable Networks need to fill time and when it comes to the Kennedy's they have plenty of fotage and there is no storage of of Kennedy talking heads. I heard several references to the fatal accident on MSNBC and CNN.
If the situation had been worse, RKO would have been in trouble. Back in 1999, when JFK Jr's plane crashed on a Saturday, RKO was using Metro Networks News (as it does today) and they were so far behind covering the story that then PD Al Mayers convinced Entercom to hire back the news team and bring back the Associated Press and dump Metro.
I guess they could rely on Fox radio News but with a major local story breaking in your own backyard listeners would expect good local coverage.

When something like this (Kennedy's illness) happens its not necessary to suck up as some talking heads were indeed doing. But it's probably best not to imitate the lefties either. Normally, Howie would GO TO TOWN on this whole Kennedy thing...but I'm waiting to see what he does this afternoon. In the old days, there would have been jokes about the death pool, etc. But now that the Entercom libs are running the show...I'm interested to see whether he tones down the Kennedy-bashing.
