Q. Is registration required to post comments?
A. You do not have to be registered to post comments.
Q. How long can I post comments?
A. All users can post comments in any blog entry for five day. After five days, comments are closed in order prevent spam from clogging up our servers.
Q. Will comments ever be deleted or edited?
A. Comments deemed inappropriate by Hub Politics will be deleted or edited. Hub Politicsreserves the right to maintain order and respect within the blog’s comment threads. Comments that will be considered for deletion include (but are not limited to):
- Anonymous comments, and/or comments posted without a valid e-mail address.
- Demeaning comments towards a member of Hub Politics or another commenter.
- Deliberately off-topic or nonsensical comments.
- Multiple postings of the same comment in various comment threads.
- Comments with gratuitous profanity or other objectionable material/words, or links thereto.
- Comments made questioning the comment policy or the enforcement of the policy.
- Comments reported to a member of Hub Politics as being inappropriate, objectionable, offensive, or as otherwise previously noted.
- Comments which may be considered libel or slander.
- Comments of gratuitous length and/or “cut-and-paste” comments. If you wish to refer people to an article on another site you may link to it, but not post in full.
- “Cut-and-paste” comments of gratuitous length. If you wish to refer people to an article on another site you may link to it, but not post in full.
- Any and all other comments deemed inappropriate by Hub Politics.
Q. Will users be banned from commenting on Hub Politics?
A. Yes. If users violate the comment policy.
Q. What about trackbacks?
A. If you trackback an entry on Hub Politics and we discover you have not linked to that particularly entry we will delete the trackback.
Q. What happened to TypeKey Registration?
A. After several complaints about problems with TypeKey, we have temporarily disabled it. All comments will have to be approved before publication until we can find an alternative means of comment registration.
Q. Who do I contact if I think a comment has been denied or deleted in error?
